Senior Maoist leader Mohan Baidya ‘Kiran’ said that he was inspired to present a separate document at the central committee meet last week because the one tabled by party chairman ‘Prachanda’ bordered on ambiguity.
The veteran politician admitted that he had differences of opinion with Prachanda on various national and international issues as well party policies.
In an exclusive interview to The Himalayan Times, he said the synthesised document passed at national cadres’ conclave last week resolved the issue of tactical slogan.
“Other differences will be settled during the upcoming general convention,” added he.
The leader, who was languishing in a jail at Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, during the Chunbang meeting, is in consonance with the new tactical slogan.
“But, the party needs to introspect on the decisions taken at Chunbang,” he added. Kiran
is in favour of barring criminals and notorious feudal barons from the electoral process.
