The visiting Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee handed over the invitation by Indian president Pratibha Patil to president Yadav.

Mukherjee had called on president Yadav on Tuesday.

If president Yadav honours the invitation, it will be his first foreign visit after assuming the high position of the first president of Republic of Nepal.

Earlier, president Yadav could not travel to China despite invitation to attend the inaugural ceremony of Beijing Olympics due to ‘pressing political matters’ back home.It will be the first visit of yadav to foreign visit.
